My daughter has started a blog! It was actually an assignment in one of her college classes, but I hope she will keep it up. If you have a minute, click on the link below and take a look. Be sure to check out each of the pages and read some of her work. She's a very talented girl and I am so proud of her.

Possible Passion for Pinterest
Thanks to the girls at Carolina HeartStrings I am now a member of Pinterest.
Pinterest, an online pinbaord that allows you to organize and share all of the things you love, has taken a distinctive approach to get people interested in the site – you have to be invited to participate. You can request an invitation right on the site, but it takes a long time before you will get one. You are better off doing what I did and ask a friend who is already on Pinterest to send you an invitation.
If Pinterest sounds like something you would be interested in, the following link will take you to Pleasant Home, one of my favorite blogs, where you can pick up some great tips and pointers:

Watch Out for the Flames!
The following Blog on Fire Award was kindly given to me by Lizbeth at Four Sea Stars. If you haven't visited her blog, you really should. She tells it as it is and I love that about her.
Now I must tell you 7 things about me that you don't already know, then pass the award along. (By the way, if you have a blog and I am aware of it, you should be getting nervous about now.)
Here goes...
1) Once I walked around Las Vegas with an ice pack on my boob. Wanna know why? Faithfully read my blog and I may tell you someday. ;)
2) You might as well stick me in a gown from the renaissance era and put a tiara on my head, than ask me to wear a necklace or earrings. It isn't going to happen.
3) I have a time capsule I cannot open until the year 2014. (That seemed soo far away when I was putting it together.)
4) I use to worship Stevie Nicks until I saw her this year on NBC's The Voice. Now that she's freakin' old, not so much.
5) I have a love/hate relationship with thunderstorms.
6) I prefer pink carnations over roses.
7) I hate going to potlucks because there are always freeloaders and/or people who don't bring their fair share of food.
There you have it. Seven things that you didn't need to know about me, but learned anyway.
Now, without further adieu (I have to pat myself on the back. I did spell check and actually spelled adieu right!), I shall pass the Blog on Fire Award on to...
Apples and Autobots - An enjoyable blog written by a middle school teacher and mother of four, two of which are on the autism spectrum.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears - These amazing parents home schooled there autistic son, but have enrolled him in public high school this year. Read this blog and support the ups and downs this family will inevitably face.
Adventures in Oz - Head on over and meet Annie. She's an extremely talented lady and my very dear friend.
The Fragile X Files - Mark and Bonnie blog about their three children, with a special emphasis on their twin boys that have Fragile X Syndrome. If you don't know what Fragile X Syndrome is, their blog would be a great place to learn.
Carolina Heart Strings - Two friends, one in South Carolina and one in North Carolina. These women discuss a hodge podge of subjects, including autism.
That's it. I'llpick on nominate the rest of you another time. I can almost guarantee it. :)

Stylish Blogger Award
I have been given the Stylish Blogger Award by bbsmum at http://bbsmum.blogspot.com/. I am supposed to reveal 7 facts about myself that people may not know, then nominate 15 new recipients. I will do the former but no can do on the latter. I do not have that many blogger friends, and the blogs I do follow most likely have already had the Stylish Blogger Award several times. So, without further adieu, I shall now enlighten (but most likely bore) you with pointless information...
#1- The color of my car has to look good with my hair. That means I will never drive a red vehicle. (Unless someday I go completely gray and then it wouldn't look so bad. But seriously, who wants to see an 80 year old granny in a sporty red car?)
#2- I have a huge fear of flying over water. If the plane were to go down, I would rather it crash on land than over the ocean, where sharks could eat me. (Yes, I do realize that if the plane crashed I would die anyway, but still...)
#3- I accomplished my goal of having all my kids before my 30th birthday.
#4- The open ends of the pillowcases on my bed have to face inward. What's my reason for this, you ask? Because... if my pillowcases face outward, spiders can crawl inside them.
#5- Driving on a bridge, over water, with a semi truck beside me, will send me into a complete and utter panic attack!
#6- When ordering french fries from McDonald's, I ask for sweet and sour sauce to dip them in.
#7- I was voted Most Admired my junior year of high school.
Are ya still awake?
Okay, now I am passing the Stylish Blogger Award on to the following people:
Jennifer C @ http://fingerprintsofautism.blogspot.com
Lora @ http://griffinblaise.blogspot.com
Tammie and Alessa @ http://carolinaheartstrings.com
Annie @ http://rubyslipperz106.blogspot.com
Collette@ http://cocowhitley.blogspot.com
Asher @ http://mrasherkade.wordpress.com/
Go. Check out their blogs!
