Notice that it is called the sunshine award. I'm not sure what that is suppose to mean, but if it is insinuating that I am a barrel of sunshine, my family would probably disagree.

Regardless, here are the rules:

Okay. Here goes...


Favorite Color?  Blue.


Favorite Animal? I love puppies and even have a board on Pinterest called Puppy Love. Katelyn thinks it's unnessesary, but I beg to differ.


Favorite Number? I suppose it could be 4 because I have 4 children or maybe 32 because that is the size, in ounces, of Diet Coke I like to drink, but truthfully, I think having a favorite number is just weird.


Favorite Drink? I just answered that. I would love to drink Coca-Cola Classic, i.e., drink of the Gods, but too much sugar is not good for my waistline (bonus information).


Facebook or Twitter? Facebook. I've never tried tweeting and probably never will.


My passion? Let me think. Hmmm. Peanut Buster Parfaits? Blogging? Watching Survivor? I suppose it depends on the moment.


Giving or getting presents? Giving, for sure. It's one of the reasons I enjoy Christmas so much.


Favorite day? Thursday. Wanna know why? Because the next day is Friday!


Favorite Flower? I love pink or white carnations. (More bonus info...I hate marigolds.)

Kindergarten Topic of the Day...

Cataracts.

I kid you not.

As the class was lining up for recess, one of the little girls near the back of the line asked Mrs. B., "How come you're wearing sunglasses?" Mrs. B. did not hear her but a cute little red headed boy did. He piped up and told his curious female classmate, "You gotta wear sunglasses or else you get cataracts." Then he said, "Do you know what cataracts are?"

(By this time, I am completely amused and trying not to crack up.)

Then, without waiting for a response from his new friend, he said, "If you get cataracts, the doctor will cut your eyes open." The little girl responded very seriously, "Oh! I don't want that to happen to me."

Then, not thinking twice about it, they went outside and played...without sunglasses. :)

Stylish Blogger Award

I have been given the Stylish Blogger Award by bbsmum at http://bbsmum.blogspot.com/. I am supposed to reveal 7 facts about myself that people may not know, then nominate 15 new recipients. I will do the former but no can do on the latter. I do not have that many blogger friends, and the blogs I do follow most likely have already had the Stylish Blogger Award several times. So, without further adieu, I shall now enlighten (but most likely bore) you with pointless information...


#1- The color of my car has to look good with my hair. That means I will never drive a red vehicle. (Unless someday I go completely gray and then it wouldn't look so bad. But seriously, who wants to see an 80 year old granny in a sporty red car?)


#2- I have a huge fear of flying over water. If the plane were to go down, I would rather it crash on land than over the ocean, where sharks could eat me. (Yes, I do realize that if the plane crashed I would die anyway, but still...)


#3- I accomplished my goal of having all my kids before my 30th birthday.


#4- The open ends of the pillowcases on my bed have to face inward. What's my reason for this, you ask? Because... if my pillowcases face outward, spiders can crawl inside them.


#5- Driving on a bridge, over water, with a semi truck beside me, will send me into a complete and utter panic attack!


#6- When ordering french fries from McDonald's, I ask for sweet and sour sauce to dip them in.


#7- I was voted Most Admired my junior year of high school.
