1) I {Heart} You. Why can't people just say love? Love is a four letter word. Heart is five. Then when you add a { and a }, you're up to seven, so what's the deal? It isn't cute. It sounds down right stupid. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but it's how I feel.
2) Paint Chips. They are called Paint Swatches. The definition of swatch is: a sample strip cut from a piece of material. Doesn't swatch sound a lot smarter than chip? I think so.
3) Pinterest pin comments that start with "One pinner says...". This rubs me the wrong way because it sounds like he said, she said gossip.
and finally...
4) Posts on facebook that end in "Re-post if...". Even if I completely agree with what the post is trying to convey, I will not re-post it just because I don't like people telling me what to do.

Sugar Cookie and Glaze Recipes
There are two times a year that I must make sugar cookies, Valentine's Day and Halloween. I have several sugar cookie recipes in my collection, but this is by far my favorite because of one little ingredient.
Sugar Cookies
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (This is the secret to great tasting cookies!)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening, Beat eggs, sugar and milk together. Add to first ingredients. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Roll out on floured surface. Cut with cookie cutter. Bake @ 350 degrees for approximately 8 minutes. (Adjust time according to how thick or thin you prefer your cookies and if you like them crispy or soft.)
Sugar Cookie Glaze
1 stick butter
1/2 cup plus 3 Tablespoons milk
1/4 cup light corn syrup
32 oz. package powdered sugar
Melt butter in large bowl in microwave. Add remaining ingredients. Mix with a whisk until smooth. Dip cookies in glaze. Let set for one hour.
*Glaze will frost a double batch of sugar cookies.

Scrapbook Pages
First of all, I am not a Stampin' Up or Close to My Heart demonstrator, but thanks to my friend, Annie, and my brother, Shane, I do enjoy using their products.
Secondly, I realize that I am not a professional scrapbook artist, however, I take joy in putting together pages for my family to look at and reminisce .
Here are just a few of my favorite pages created with pics from our family photo shoot...

Casey looking out for his brother Cody. I think Matthew 25:40 is more than appropriate here. |
Blue Jeans and Coca-Cola. Yep, that's us! |
I placed this page toward the end of the scrapbook. |
