Cody's Choice

Don and Cody have an ongoing argument about how to pronounce the word coupon. Cody pronounces it "cue pon". Don says "coo pon". I captured their most recent go-round and, although my ears get tired of hearing it, I must admit the two of them have a fun loving, unique relationship.

Don- It's Coo Pon (exaggerated).

Cody- Cue Pon (even more exaggerated)

Don- There's no Q in coupon dipstick.

Cody- (voice becoming high pitched) Excuse me?!

pause

Cody- How come you call me a dipstick?

Don- It's either dipstick or dipshit. Which one do you want it to be?

pause

Cody- Dipstick

I guess, if given a choice between the two, I'd choose dipstick too.

Dodo Head

Cody and his dad have a very unique relationship. They love to call each other names. It started when Cody was a baby and his dad called him Pooper Man. Here is a list of names they've acquired over the years...Liver Lips, Fred, Jack, Butt Head, Buttless Wonder, Sow Belly Pig, Prune Face, and some times it's Prune Faced, Liver Lipped, Sow Belly Pig.

Cody threw a new one out last night. We were sitting in the living room, watching TV, and Cody called out to his dad, "Hey, Python Breath!"

No worries, though. It's all in good fun.

(By the way, Cody titled this post.)

"I'm Never Gonna Hang With You Again!"

We've been having problems with our garage door. Sometimes it opens with the remote and other times it gets stuck and we have to get out of the car to open it manually. It's bothering Cody like crazy. This morning, when Don came home from running errands, Cody (who has a keen sense of hearing) greeted his dad and the conversation went like this...

Cody- "Dad. How come you keep starting the garage and stopping the garage?"

Don- "I couldn't get the stupid thing to open Fred (one of Don's many nicknames for Cody)."

Cody- "I'm never gonna hang with you again." (Cody said with all the drama of a teenage girl.)

Don- "Okay Cody. If I can't hang with you, what am I suppose to do today while mom and Katelyn go shopping?"

Cody- "I guess you'll have to do facebook or something."

I'm not sure exactly what the two of them did while Katelyn and I were gone. Don rarely sits down at the computer so I highly doubt he "got on facebook". And, since they had Wendy's Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers and Fries for lunch, they must have "hung out" a little bit. :)
